CARPENTRY APPRENTICE PROGRAM

A job training program designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to be equipped to be a level 1 carpenter working in the construction field as well as property preservation and restoration.

The program is designed to meet the needs of workforce development clients, as well as the need of

the local trade industry.

JLJ Management aims to provide career opportunities to the members of the community, giving them an overview of the carpentry industry by hosting a one-day workshop. 

 

The goal is to explore a career for the interested participants on various trades or property preservation and restoration business. From this workshop, interested participants will then move on to the next step – One-Week Workshop.

ONE-DAY WORKSHOP

One-Day Workshop

With the goal of building career opportunities for the community, JLJ Management provides a week worth of enhanced training for those who completed the one-day workshop successfully.

The expectation is to provide the participants a run-through of various trades and use it to their advantage on which trade they want to explore a career with.

 

Upon completion of the one-week workshop, the participants will officially be part of the Entry-Level Carpentry Training.

In partnership with the Neighborhood Rebuild Program, JLJ Management sets the stage in building a sustainable career in the construction industry to further meet the community’s need to workforce development.

 

This training is designed to provide the participants knowledge and skills on Demo/Deconstruction, Layouts and Framing, Drywall, and Property Preservation. Classroom training will be conducted including but is not limited to online videos, quiz, and hands on training to assess their understanding and practical knowledge on trades.

ENTRY-LEVEL CARPENTRY TRAINING

Entry-Level Carpentry Training

This program is backed up by a 3 to 6-month worth of on-site training to further build a strong career foundation before they transition to their permanent job placement.
